Dundee has come a long way as a place to get married and its wedding venues have moved with it. Our wedding bands in Dundee play Piperdam, Fingask Castle and the Hilton regularly, along with plenty of the smaller spots around the city and out into the Carse. Tell us where you're getting married and we can usually say which of our acts have played it and how the evening went.
We're based in Ayrshire, and the travel to Dundee is built into your quote from the outset rather than appearing at the end as a surprise.
Where a Dundee wedding usually loses its momentum
It's rarely the band that causes it, it's the gaps between their sets. Most function suites here put the bar and the smoking area within easy reach of the dancefloor, so a twenty-minute break is more than long enough for a room to empty out, and once people are settled at the bar with a fresh drink they don't come back the moment the band starts up again. Two breaks across the night and you can lose the better part of an hour of a band you paid good money for.
It's an easy thing to design out. Most of our acts will run a DJ set through their breaks and carry on after their final song, so the music never stops and nobody drifts. A lot of them can add a sax player or a second vocalist too if you want a fuller sound in a bigger room. Worth checking what time your licence actually runs to before you book anything, so the band can plan the shape of the night around it rather than finding out on arrival.
Checking dates and prices
Every act on the site has an instant date and price check, so you'll know in seconds whether they're free on your date and what they'd cost. Their page carries full live video, the current setlist, and reviews written by couples who booked them. Most people end up with three or four available bands and choose from those.
Our commission is charged to the band, not added to your quote, so booking through Coast costs you exactly what booking the act direct would.
