When my wife and I were searching for a band for our wedding day, we knew we wanted something that stood out from the typical cabaret or cruise-ship-style wedding band. The second we came across The Socials, we knew they were exactly what we had been looking for. That energy isn’t just something they switch on when they start performing either. As a group, they have such a lovely chemistry and you can genuinely sense how well they all get on and how much they enjoy what they do together. One of our favourite little moments happened before they’d even played a note. When we were shown into the reception room for the evening, the band were still setting up and my wife was so excited to finally see them that she immediately ran over and gave them all a hug! They couldn’t have responded more warmly. They completely matched our excitement and instantly made us feel like the evening was about to properly begin. It was such a small interaction, but one that really summed up the warmth and personality they brought to our wedding. And somehow, they were even better in person. Almost every single guest spoke to us about how incredible the band were, either on the night itself or in the days afterwards as we all reminisced about just how amazing the wedding had been. The dance floor felt full the entire evening, and every time they started another song, the energy in the room lifted all over again. It genuinely felt like they were playing banger after banger. There was barely a chance to leave the dance floor because you didn’t want to miss what they were going to play next. But what really sets The Socials apart is that they’re the kind of band who could take almost any song and somehow make it sound incredible. It wasn’t just the song choices that made the night; it was the way they performed them. They put their own energy and personality into every track, and everything sounded effortlessly cool. We gave them a few specific song requests that were particularly special to us, and they absolutely nailed every single one. We also opted to have a ceilidh as part of the evening, and it ended up being one of the absolute highlights of the entire wedding. Seeing everyone get involved, laughing and dancing together, was so much fun and brought another incredible burst of energy to the night. It’s one of the parts of the wedding we’re most excited to watch back and relive. At times, it genuinely felt like we had our own private concert happening in the middle of our wedding, with all of our favourite people there enjoying it with us. Seeing a dance floor full of the people we love, singing and dancing together, is one of those memories from the day that we’ll never forget. So, if any of The Socials happen to read this — thank you. Thank you for the music, the energy, the atmosphere and for giving us a dance floor full of some of our favourite memories from the entire day. You were everything we hoped you would be and more, and we feel incredibly lucky that you were part of our wedding. We honestly couldn’t recommend The Socials highly enough. If you’re considering booking them for your wedding, do it. They are so much more than a wedding band — they helped make our evening what it was, and we would choose them again in a heartbeat.

The Socials were absolutely brilliant at our wedding! We really wanted an alternative style of music and they completely nailed it. They were so easy to deal with and couldn’t have been more helpful on the day, even sorting all their own setup and equipment so we didn’t have to worry about anything. They did a ceilidh for us too, which was great fun, and somehow even managed to get my mum to release her inner Mick Jagger 😂 The dance floor was packed and we had so many guests asking who they were and saying how good they were. Honestly, I’m not just saying it because they played at our wedding, they were genuinely the best wedding band we’ve heard! They completely blew the roof off and made the night. Well thank god you were that good as it was us that recommended you to our daughter and son in law. You were as amazing as we remembered from another wedding. 100 guests at night and at one point all but 4 were up dancing, and this set the tone for all night. Ceilidh was great and again the strip the willow over spilled into the stairwell. The variety of tunes was amazing in fact the only time people left the dance floor was for a rest. People just stayed up for as long as they could. I would highly recommend you to anyone who will listen.

If you've been thinking about booking The Socials, just do it! We've never heard so many people compliment the band at a wedding. They managed to keep everyone on the dancefloor all night and play a lot of different genres with their own style. It was brilliant and was the perfect addition to our wedding day. They also successfully managed to explain ceilidh moves to a room full of people from all over the world, and allowed us to veto some songs we didn't like while also learning a new one for our final dance. They were so warm and professional. We honestly cannot recommend them enough. Such a talented group of people!

The Socials surpassed our expectations in every feasible way possible. The range of songs from backstreet boys to system of a down and a ceilidh in the middle to boot. What more could you ask for? The band are all extremely talented and the singer can sing literally anything. The drummer ran through Everlong without breaking a sweat too! They played a near perfect set (only missing some Canadian tunes!) and we couldn't have been happier to book these guys. We have recommended them to absolutely everyone we know getting married and will do so as long as they carry on. Thanks for making our special day that much more special. Love from both of us.

The Socials are just brilliant - look no further for a wedding band. They are really great musicians with an expansive set list, and they are awfully nice people too! ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!!! The Socials were amazing from start to finish. So accommodating to our preferences for our wedding. We booked The Socials for our wedding as they had a great vibe and good contemporary tunes. We gave them a first dance to learn, but changed our mind nearer the time. They were happy to do the new song for us without issue. Their communication with me was great before the wedding. When they arrived they set up efficiently and played our first dance song amazingly, but they also played the original first dance song later in their set. Their sound was great with the dance floor full all night. Robins voice is great and able to perform a great range of modern songs. As my wife is a massive swiftie, they had learned an additional Taylor Swift song which was really nice of them, it was a great rendition and the dance floor again was bouncing and everyone singing along. Laurens vocals were great. The band made the night and our guests haven't stopped talking about the Socials. I would recommend them to anyone having a wedding or event. We were absolutely buzzing afterwards. They are also all really nice and decent people.

OMG THIS BAND!!!! I have no idea where to start. They are AMAZING!!!! They played at my wedding on Saturday. What a lovely group of people, could not have asked for anything better. They learned my father daughter dance to a T. They also learned my 6 year old sons favourite song “shotgun” to allow him to sing it on our special day. I have heard a lot of bands but I can honestly say hands down this is the best band I have ever heard. They actually made our wedding!!! Every person we know was messaging us and saying how amazing our band was at our wedding. The range of songs they sung pleased all the crowd and the dance floor was full all night. These guys are a total pleasure to work with, friendly, professional and kickass musicians - the works! We got so many compliments for our choice of band and they did not disappoint at all. Perfect mix of songs, performed exceptionally.

We hired the Socials for our Wedding in February and they were fantastic! We had multiple guests complimenting the band and the dance floor was never left empty. They also did a 30 minute Ceilidh with instructions. We just wanted to let you at Coast and especially the boys of The Socials who played at our reception, ( we aren’t on Facebook so thought you could pass this onto them please) The boys were out of this world!!! Fab!! Fab!! Fab!! A really lovely bunch of guys, and although our wedding was small( sure they are used to playing bigger crowds) they still made our night playing our first dance song and even a special request too! every one of our guests commented on how amazing they were, and still talk about them so thank you again.  Hope they have continued success and much luck in their future.

Thomas and I got married in November'17 at Errol Park Perthshire, and 'The Socials' were our wedding band. They were phenomenal. They went above and beyond what we were expecting, and had everyone up dancing the whole night!! There were A LOT of sore feet by the end of the night... They played a whole variety of musical genres which pleased everybody! But for Thomas and I, they played (incredibly well) a few of our all-time favourites (Led Zeppelin and Queens of the Stone Age), which just topped the night off. They were incredible. I only wish we could replay the whole night again! The Socials provided the perfect ending to our perfect day, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Love, the Prestons xxx

Just a wee note to say the socials were fabulous on Saturday everyone was up dancing and we all had a great night I have had lots of comments about the band people asking there name and saying how good they were if I hear of anyone looking for a live band I will definitely recommend them they made our night.  Robert was shocked when he seen the band as he thought he was getting a d.j  Robert was over the moon he enjoyed every moment.  Thank you for helping to making it such a good night.
