Does the band travel this far? It's the first thing nearly every couple looking for a wedding band in Aberdeen wants to know, so we'll deal with it before anything else. Yes, our acts cover the north east regularly, and the travel is built into the price you're quoted from the outset. Nothing turns up at the end that wasn't there at the start.
You'll find our bands at Hilton Treetops, the Aberdeen Marriott, Meldrum House, Drumtochty Castle, the Thistle and Aberdeen FC, among others. Some of those rooms are generous with sound and some fight you the whole way, and an act that's played them before turns up knowing which is which. Those are the Aberdeen wedding venues we're in most often, and if yours isn't on the list, ask us anyway. Among around seventy acts somebody has usually worked it, and we'd sooner tell you now than let you find out in June.
Ceilidh, covers, or somewhere in between
North east crowds will generally want a few dances at some stage in the night, and this is the decision couples up here get wrong most often. Book a straight covers band and you'll have aunties asking why there's no Gay Gordons. Book a full traditional ceilidh and half the room sits down after an hour.
Most of our party bands carry enough ceilidh to handle the first problem without you booking a second act, and if you do want a proper ceilidh for a serious chunk of the evening we've got specialist bands who play nothing else. The middle ground is where most Aberdeen couples land: a covers band running a few dances early on, then getting on with the party once everyone's warmed up and the older guests have had their turn. Tell us which way your lot lean and we'll shortlist accordingly.
Our commission is charged to the band, not added to your quote, so booking through Coast costs you exactly what booking the act direct would. Every booking is contracted and the paperwork is handled for you. You get direct access to your band once the booking is confirmed. Your balance sits in a ring-fenced client account and only goes to the band once they've confirmed in writing that they're on their way to your venue. You've got fourteen days after your reservation fee to change your mind and get it back in full. And if a band is ever physically unable to perform, we'll put alternatives in front of you, the final say is yours, and your balance comes back in full if you'd rather not go ahead.
The ring-fenced account is the one worth dwelling on when your band is setting off from two hours away. Your money stays exactly where it is until they're on the road to you.
Every act on the site has an instant date and price check, so you'll know in seconds whether they're free on your date and what they'd cost. Their page carries full live video, the current setlist, and reviews written by couples who booked them. If you'd sooner talk it through than browse, call or email and we'll go through which of our wedding bands in Aberdeen fit your venue and your crowd.
