We had Splendid Gentlemen play at our wedding on the 6th September and they were amazing! Their repertoire is huge and we loved the rockier vibe as opposed to the usual cheesy tunes! Dee and the guys played our wedding on 28th August 2025 and what can I say, other than they absolutely smashed it. They played our first dance song, which was perfectly done then after that it was just banger after banger. Everyone who has spoken to us since have all said that the band were phenomenal (even my 65 year old mother!) Splendid Gentlemen performed at our wedding on 16th August and they were absolutely brilliant! They are super talented and their repertoire is so vast! They had the dancefloor full the whole night and knew exactly how to please the crowd. They were even patient enough to try to teach a large majority of our English guests some ceilidh dances - a great feat! Dee is very professional and his communication was great throughout the whole process, which made everything stress free on the day. Their energy was infectious and they brought such an incredible vibe to the night (which resulted in quite a few mosh pits from our guests). We cannot recommend this band highly enough!

Splendid Gentlemen played our wedding reception, and they were sensational. Dee has a fantastic voice, and they learned and performed our first dance song beautifully for us. The repertoire is so varied, and they do them all so well, that there's something for everyone - even my 88 year old gran was loving them! Dealing with Dee in the lead up was a pleasure, he was professional throughout and his approach kept the process simple. On the night, they were brilliant and they were experts at keeping the energy in the room - we even had a power cut for a few minutes, but Dee and the band were able to recapture the vibe and get everyone back up straight away. I've had so many guests comment on how good they were and some have already told me that they'll be booking them when they get married! In all sincerity, I couldn't have asked for more from them, and I'd go as far as to say that booking the rest of your wedding around their availability is a good shout. My wife and I booked them immediately after seeing them play one of their Maggie Mays gigs. First and foremost, everyone needs to book Splendid Gentlemen if they're looking for a wedding band that stands out from the crowd and has outstanding talent. After booking our venue, our next step in our planning was picking our band. After coming across Splendid Gentlemen, we couldn't see past them, and very thankfully they were available for our special day. So many people commented throughout the evening how amazing they were and managed to cater for everyone in terms of music tastes. From our more rocky side to more 90s classics and modern hits. Splendid Gentlemen played for us at Old Manor Lundin Links on June 21st. Beautiful day, enjoyed by all our friends. From the very first song – Barry White's "Your My First, My Last, My Everything" – right through to the end of the DJ set with Runrig (classic closing song). They had the floor bouncing, every single person there was raving about the tremendous band. Even had a wee ceilidh in between which gave good entertainment. Dee was very easy to contact from the start and learned that fantastic song for us, absolutely nailed it. If you are looking for a band, look no further than these guys, we just hope they are playing at the next wedding we attend. Class guys and thank you so much again.

Splendid Gentleman did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding reception, keeping the energy high and the dancefloor packed all night! We're both big rock fans and really wanted a band who had a rawer and more powerful sound than the traditional wedding band, could belt out our favourite numbers but also play all of the wedding classics. To say the guys exceeded expectations would be a massive understatement! We've had no end of positive feedback about the band and their set, which had something for everyone and really made our evening! In addition to absolutely smashing our first dance, the band took it off their own back to learn an extra song which went down great with the groomsmen and which hasn't been shut up about since! We booked Splendid Gentlemen for our wedding on 8.4.24 and they did not disappoint!! These guys are so talented and on the ball, everything ran so smoothly from the first point of contact to the end of the wedding night. Dee came to have a chat with us before the first dance to check in with us and stayed for a bit after to chat too which we really appreciated. We requested our first dance song to start slow and end with high energy to kick start the night and they delivered this perfectly! We had Splendid Gentlemen play at our wedding just last night and I couldn't recommend them enough. Splendid Gentlemen were our band for our wedding reception and they were absolutely insane! We both loved how they were more indie than other bands and their repertoire consisted of songs we love rather than all the usual wedding songs. We booked Splendid Gentlemen to play at our wedding reception on 30th December 2023 at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow. The band were fantastic and great to deal with from initial booking through to the performance. We had seen them play a few times at Maggie May's in Glasgow and knew roughly what to expect, but on the night they exceeded those high expectations and put on a brilliant show. The guys know a massive range of songs and even learned our first dance - 'I was made for loving you' by Kiss. They have a great ability to adapt their performance on the night and play requests to make sure everyone has a great time and enjoys the music without feeling left out. The guests were hugely complimentary of Splendid Gentlemen, with many commenting it was the best wedding band they had heard.

We had a splendid gentleman play at our wedding reception recently. They were absolutely fantastic and everything we hoped for in a wedding band. Timely replies to our emails in the lead up and nothing was a bother. They learned the song we had requested and did a fabulous job with it. Splendid Gentlemen performed on November 7th 2023 at our wedding located at Drumtochty Castle in Aberdeenshire. They were so much fun and everyone mentioned how talented they were. Throughout the whole process (planning a destination wedding), Dee was communicative and reachable which I thoroughly appreciated. Even during the evening, they were so fun to talk to and very down to earth. My biggest concern was hiring a "typical" wedding band and I can assure you, they are not! The absolute best! Booked Splendid Gentlemen purely off videos online, then went to a gig and actually cried because both me and my partner adored every single song! Communication with Dee was bang on from start to finish, our first dance was probably done even better than the original and they even learned another request for the groom which went down class! My husband and I didn't leave the dance floor all night, they picked up the vibe of the crowd pretty swift and I've had countless messages telling me that hearing Offspring at a wedding was a highlight! On top of being superb, they're genuinely lovely lads too, and I can't wait to catch them at a gig or ten as soon as possible!

We had the pleasure of the Splendid Gentlemen playing at our wedding recently and by God they were amazing, everyone commented on how awesome they were. They learnt our first dance and absolutely nailed it. They played all our requests along with their own set list and they really knew what to play to get the crowd dancing, even my brother who has never danced made it on to the dance floor. Great entertainers and wonderful with the children. This felt like we had our very own rock gig dedicated just to us and our family. The bride also got some nu metal and a very good rendition of Tribute. The under 10's got their first taste of Metallica and a mini mosh pit and loved it. As per all the other reviews.... book them!

What a night! Splendid Gentlemen did more than deliver at our wedding. From learning our first dance to closing with some absolute anthems rather than the usual Loch Lomond. When we started looking for a wedding band, as soon as we stumbled upon Splendid Gentlemen we knew that we didn't want a band that wouldn't be up for playing Hole or The Distillers, so it had to be them. Dee was great to communicate with in the booking process and in the run up to the day. The set the guys played was brilliant (actually maybe too good as I don't think we sat down from the time they started). Every song was a banger, and the highlight was definitely our first dance Heaven is a Place on Earth which they more than did justice to and now we need to come to a gig to hopefully hear it again! We booked these guys for our wedding at Seamill Hydro in July 2023, it was one of the first things we secured after the venue as once I heard them, I knew they had to be at our wedding, and I wasn't disappointed! Dee and his band were so accommodating and professional in terms of their set up and how long they actually played for, they even learnt a new song Lumineers "Sleep on the Floor" especially for our day. The dance floor was full all night and all I kept getting asked from our guests was "who are the band!?" They even asked me if I had any requests but their own repertoire was so good, I just said keep doing what you're doing! Honestly couldn't recommend these guys enough. Get them booked in early as their diary is always full!

We had the best party at our wedding with The Splendid Gentlemen leading the way! We gave a little bit of guidance on what music we liked (and hated!), and the type of party we wanted, and they brought the whole event to life. We didn't want typical wedding music and The Splendid Gentlemen were perfect for this. Our highlights were Teenage Dirtbag (Wheatus), Everybody Needs Somebody to Love (Blues Brothers) and of course, their slowed down version of No One Knows (Queens of the Stone Age) for our first dance. There were always people on the dance floor, plenty of guitar solos (real and air guitars!) and we had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed themselves.

Splendid Gentleman were absolutely fantastic. We booked them for our wedding after hearing great reviews from others attending another wedding, then checking out their videos and repertoire - which in itself is amazing! From the very first phone call to book them, through to their performance on the day, everything was faultless - even after we dropped it on them that we wanted a few ceilidh songs, with about half an hour before they started playing! They also offer to learn your first dance song as an alternative to playing the track, which we took them up on and it was fantastic! We're so pleased this will be caught on our video and we'll have this version of the song to listen back to. Guests have told us how much they enjoyed our band, and a few commented that they were so good, they couldn't get to the bar because they couldn't bring themselves to leave the dancefloor - which was genuinely full for banger after banger. Couldn't recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for a wedding band, and we are so hoping we will see them at another wedding soon!

A great mix of tunes and the dance floor was full the whole time. They took requests and their set up looked great. Having booked these guys a couple of times to play Cancer Support Scotland's Ladies Lunch, I guarantee they are able to fill the dance floor and play everything from the usual party tunes to Blink 182, so there's something to suit everyone! We had been looking for our band during lockdown, and when reviewing on various wedding sites, Splendid Gentlemen were the ones we kept coming back to. We had watched some of their YouTube videos, and followed on Facebook as couldn't get to see them live anywhere during that time, but I had faith they were the band for us! Fast forward a few months after booking and I had heard reviews from a couple of people who had been at different weddings, and couldn't have been more complimentary! We were really excited to have them be part of our wedding party and the guys did not disappoint. With the varying age range of wedding guests, everyone was catered for, and even got my big brother up on the dancefloor which is no mean feat! Honestly, you will not be disappointed if you book SG, and we will definitely be going to see another gig or two for more singing and dancing!

I found SG at one of the wedding shows (my bridesmaid was talking to the drummer and he mentioned Blink182, so she grabbed me and informed me she had found our band. Job done!)… Communication was excellent from start to finish, including regarding a date and venue change. We really wanted to retain the band and they made that happen! They truly made our wedding reception the best fun. Our first dance was incredible (we couldn't decide what we wanted and Dee was v helpful with suggestions!). They played an amazing range of music we loved, took requests etc… We also gave them free reign for the final song as I cannot stand Runrig… so Rage Against the Machine it was!! (My father in law did say I was weird after that but hey, all the best people are! Our wedding was non-traditional so it really fitted with what we had done (fu I won't do what you tell me). Anyway, everyone has commented on what a brilliant band they are and how much fun they had dancing to them! Will be coming to Maggie Mays asap to enjoy a show. I cannot recommend Splendid Gentlemen highly enough! We first saw them play at our friends' wedding, where we danced all night and did not sit down. After that we decided it literally couldn't be anyone else to play our wedding. Dee's communication and organisation is wonderful, and on the night they were just perfect. From booking them right up until the end of the wedding night they were faultless, and we would 100% recommend them to anyone who wants a night of dancing!

The Splendid Gentlemen are a top tier wedding band. Professional but fun, with a huge back catalogue of tracks, and above all else, very talented musicians. We booked them on reviews alone, then saw them for the first time at a pub in Glasgow the week before our big day. They were just superb; taking requests and the vibe of the crowd in their stride, and seeming to adapt their set lists to make the best night out for everyone there. We requested a few tracks that weren't on their website for our own wedding, and they played them without fault. It really helped knowing that our band would take care of themselves and smash our wedding night, without us having to do much at all. We highly recommend!

We booked Splendid Gentlemen for our winter wedding on 4 December, and they were FANTASTIC! The Splendid Gentlemen played recently at our wedding in Cornhill Castle and they absolutely made our night! The communications from Dee were always so efficient from booking to introducing the band on the night of the wedding. They engaged with our guests throughout the "gig" as we called it, taking requests and providing the banter. We had so many guests tell us how fab the band were on the night, and messages for days after asking for the name of the band. We booked Splendid Gentlemen for our wedding and they didn't disappoint. We wanted to avoid the clichéd wedding music and go for a band that would be happy to play some good classic rock, and these guys were great at getting the balance right. They kept people dancing all night and would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Splendid Gentlemen enough. Due to planning our wedding during COVID, we had not met or seen the band live. When booking, we just went with what we listened to online, from other people's reviews, and our overall interaction with the band. We emailed the band over a few months before the wedding to ask if they would be able to learn our first dance song and father-daughter dance song, which they agreed to with the amount of notice, etc. We are very thankful they did, as we like a very strange mix of country, pop, rock and metal music, and both these songs were country and not very well known. Our wedding was very relaxed, and we really just wanted everyone to have fun. That was all we wanted from our guests. When the guys arrived, I was definitely a few cocktails in, but every interaction I had up until I have blanks was great. They were lovely, approachable, and the most important thing—they sounded amazing! Our first dance song and father-daughter dance song were incredible. They put their own spin on it, which worked so well and was just perfect. I may have a few blanks, but I do know that I was dancing and jumping around a lot to the music (so thankful I wore Docs!). They played songs that catered to all our guests, and every guest has commented on how awesome the band was and how great the music was! What can I say about these guys, they played our wedding on Sunday and were absolutely amazing! They played every single song to perfection and have a range of songs under their belt, including (much to my delight) pretty difficult songs to sing like Tenacious D Tribute. If you are considering booking this band for a wedding (or any event) do it now, you won't be disappointed! My husband and I are looking to see when we can maybe go to a pub gig soon to see them again and they've even promised us a wee picture with them as we forgot to get one. The absolute best band about. Unbelievable wedding band! We didn't manage to see them live before our wedding due to COVID, but knew from online videos and joining them in the live sessions on Facebook we had picked the right band for us! I will try to keep it short and sweet. But these boys are the absolute best at what they do. Nothing was ever a problem, they were flexible about doing some ceilidh tunes even at short notice. I asked if they'd learn a song for us, wasn't an issue. Can you play some metal for us? Not an issue. "Play some metal to keep the groom happy" Had a mini set of metal tunes to really keep me on my toes and the dance floor full. They played my brother's wedding in 2019 so I was lucky to have seen them before and they blew the crowd away on that occasion so I didn't think they could get any better, but by God they were even better. What a band, what a day. Book them!

We wanted to book an actual rock band for our music festival themed wedding, and Splendid Gentlemen did not disappoint! We booked the guys in late 2018 for an original wedding date in 2020, however Covid rudely got in the way and we postponed twice in that time! The guys had zero issues moving the date and we made sure we got them for our final date - August 12th 2022. Safe to say with a festival theme, the guys were the best choice especially having such a varied arsenal of tunes, it was a no brainer. We went to Dee with the theme - 'Mid 2000's Cathouse Belters and Mosher Tunes' and we were NOT disappointed! Keeping a casual gig attire and playing tunes such as Dragula, Buddy Holly, No One Knows, Teenage Dirtbag, Rolling, Tribute, Girl All the Bad Guys Want (to name a few) it's very safe to say we were dancing most of the night! The guys learnt and played live a beautiful cover of me and my wifey's fave song (Jenny's Song - We The Kings) for our first dance and we could not have been happier with it! Music makes a night? Absolutely it does and we wouldn't have had half as much fun if we didn't book the guys to play. Safe to say we'll happily support them in the future and should anyone we know need a band, we'll personally be recommending them! Thank you again lads for making our wedding reception everything we wanted as much as we can't remember the exact playlist, we know we had a blast and it was exactly how we wanted the night to go! Absolutely fantastic! We were so pleased with Splendid Gentlemen. Excellent communication right from booking all the way through until after the wedding. They were very accommodating to any of our requests and learned our first dance song for us, even changing a few words to make it more personal. On the night they played a variety of genres to suit our guests from old school pop to pop punk to a ceilidh set. The dancefloor was full all night and we have received many comments from guests about how good the band was and have even had friends express interest in booking them for their own wedding. We were so excited to have Splendid Gentlemen play at our wedding! The Splendid Gentlemen performed at our wedding reception and were absolutely amazing! They played a diverse set of songs, with covers ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Wheatus. Their unique sound created a great atmosphere for our wedding, kept the dance floor packed and all of us thoroughly entertained. They also squeezed in a half hour ceilidh set, which was a huge crowd-pleaser! Several of our guests, both on the night and since, have commented on the brilliant performance. These guys are incredible - so much fun and so talented! Splendid Gentleman played our wedding on July 1st at Comrie Croft and their performance was outstanding! We are not ceilidh people and knew we wanted a band that would play the music we knew our guests would love. From Britney to Nirvana, they played one banger after another that kept people on the dancefloor, myself included to the point that I had to ask them to stop for a minute so I could go outside to cool down! They were game to play requests from guests, including Metallica and Tenacious D and even learned Paramore super quick for us when we asked! We were blown away by the fantastic guitar solos that were completely spot on, and the music really made the day, giving it the festival feel we were looking for. 10/10 would recommend!

Splendid Gentlemen played at our wedding in April 2022 and we cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Choosing a band was one of the hardest things for us to do until we listened to SG's Medley videos on their YouTube channel. These guys are unlike any other band we've heard, their ability to play absolutely any genre is unreal. They can instantly read a crowd to know what will get people up dancing and keep them up dancing all night. They happily took requests which saw them go from playing Nirvana to Blink 182 to Oasis to Avril Lavigne to the Spice Girls (yes, you read correctly) and it all just works. They had all our guests up dancing, even those who usually enjoy a quiet seat in the corner of the room! They learned our first dance song for us with no issues at all and we love it just as much, if not more, than the original. Thanks for playing at our wedding Dee, Michael and Scott. We had the best time and so glad we had you guys as our band!

Our wedding was the most special day. It was made amazing from start to finish, partly because of the love and company from our friends and family, but a large part of that was down to our awesome suppliers. You guys. Absolute belters. Just WOW. These guys played at our wedding recently and totally made the full night, the atmosphere, the song choices, the pure talent, quality and professionalism of the guys was just outstanding! Never have we heard of a wedding band who play Limp Bizkit, Green Day, the Offspring and even System of a Down - with songs that aren't easy to play! We booked Splendid Gentlemen for our wedding on 12th March 2022 at Drumtochty Castle and my god are we glad we did! We were looking for a non-traditional wedding band and they nailed this for us! The guys were lovely and took requests during the night which our guests loved! We had some absolute rock bangers played which our guests and us loved along with the odd classic. We sent the guys an acoustic and normal version of our first dance song to be blended which they did perfectly - it was exactly what we had asked for! They are a great band with a large selection of music. The guys were a great addition to our night and I would highly recommend! Don't just think about booking them… get them booked!

We booked The Splendid Gentlemen back in 2016 as our wedding band. Obviously due to Covid lockdowns and restrictions, our wedding was postponed twice and we finally got to have our special day in December 2020 and carry on our celebrations through to 2021 by having our reception on the 18th November when finally we could have this amazing band play! Throughout all the changes of postponements, these guys were so supportive and so understanding. When it finally came to our wedding reception, they were so amazing. Ryan and I couldn't have booked a more perfect band for our wedding reception. The guys were epic and were happy to take all our Pop Punk requests on the night, which had us and our guests on the dance floor all night! Where to start! What an amazing band. Splendid Gentleman's performance made our wedding day all the more special. Tracy and I had a wonderful day at Dalmeny Park Hotel in Barrhead and we actually changed the date of our wedding so the band would be available. There are thousands of bands on the circuit but I have no doubt Splendid Gentleman are the best out there. Dee and the guys played an incredible set and every song was an absolute banger. Apologies for the late review Dee! We hired Splendid Gentlemen for our wedding at the Cowshed years ago, before Covid was even a thought. What lovely guys they were - totally understanding when it came to the several postponements. And simply amazing on the day itself. Our family loves a dance (especially oor Jack!) and so many people have come up to us and said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We really hope to see the guys again at another wedding as they were just mindblowingly good. Rock on.

Splendid Gentlemen were the first supplier we booked for our wedding roughly 4 years ago. After someone recommended them we went to see them play at Maggie Mays in Glasgow. After they played 2 songs we couldn't book them fast enough. Throughout the planning process, a pandemic and the postponement of our wedding, Dee was great with communication and also got back to our emails. In the run up to the wedding they asked if we had any requests etc., but we knew from previous reviews that these guys knew how to start the party. And wow! Immediately after our first dance, the band played their first song and the dance floor flooded with people. It didn't empty the rest of the night. From first booking, rearranging during the lockdown, providing gigs in our living room and then our wedding. We have never heard them live, but online and read all their reviews—they were amazing! During lockdown we listened to them on their lives on Facebook. These guys are absolute legends! Through lockdown we watched their "Live-ish" streams and loved their personalities and the way they could go from Metallica to Steps. How many other bands can do that? When they played our wedding on 15th October we were all fangirling over them and they had the whole crowd on the dance floor at one point of the night due to the range of songs they can do. Splendid Gentlemen were our evening entertainment for our wedding at the Lodge on Loch Lomond on 26/09/21. We got so lucky finding these fantastic guys to play at our wedding. We chose them because they can play Spice Girls for me and Pixies for my partner and a whole range of requests in-between for our guests of various ages. In a sentence - hire the Splendid Gentlemen for your next event! We booked the Splendid Gentlemen for our wedding on August 25th at Drumtochty Castle, outside Aberdeen. They played for our 50 guests, with half attending from the US. Dee and the boys did an amazing job getting everyone on their feet with their energy, showmanship, ceilidh and choice of songs. Having been to 20+ weddings in both the UK and the US they are hands down the best band we have seen at a wedding. Several of the guests shared the same sentiment with the band as they were wrapping up and with us the following day. They mingled with the guests during their break during wrap-up and were a pleasure all around. Beyond the performance itself, Dee was a true professional in the run-up to the event. He was responsive, informed of the latest on COVID, was willing to learn a song for our first dance and more than understanding when we had to push multiple times. A personal highlight was their rendition of the macarena (a guest's request). For an ask on the fly it was not half bad and was certainly a sight to behold. To have you guys play on the most memorable day of our lives was something that, until that point, I could only have dreamed about. Splendid Gentlemen lived up to their hype; they aren't your typical wedding band. From meeting Dee at the Wedding Fayre, through to learning a new song for my wife and I's first dance, it's fair to say SG also rocked in the preparation department. On the day, the band made sure people were always dancing – playing a range of classic floor-fillers in their unique style and even taking a few requests from my wife and I for the second half of the night. What can I say... this band were genuinely the best supplier we booked for our wedding Nov 2018! Splendid Gentleman were not only so friendly and approachable but bloody hell are these guys talented! What initially attracted me to the band was their awesome playlist, which included "Stars Go Blue" by Ryan Adams – one of my all time favourite songs. This band are not afraid to be different and it definitely pays off to those interested in a unique wedding band. Dee learned and sang the most beautiful rendition of Jason Isbell's "Cover Me Up" for our first dance, something which I could never imagine anyone but the artist performing so well but he really seemed to belt out that song and give it the meaning it deserves – for that I am forever grateful. The band as a whole were fabulous and had the dance floor filled all night. They even stayed at the end to chat with me and my dad – lovely lovely guys!

We booked Splendid Gentlemen for our wedding having seen them live at Maggie May's. Their style and set list suited our taste in music perfectly and the guys clearly love what they do. We couldn't have asked for a better night thanks to the band. The song they learned especially for us was extra special. Everyone had an amazing time, from floor fillers to our favourite tunes. A number of our guests travelled from outside of Scotland and so the ceilidh music went down really well and there was something for everyone. We were so impressed with Splendid Gentleman at our friend's wedding, we just had to have them play at our wedding on 9th November at the Lodge on Loch Lomond. Quite simply, they did not disappoint and they were absolutely amazing! The guys certainly went above and beyond and learned our first dance song which wasn't on their repertoire of songs - it was delivered perfectly – and we could not have asked for anything better. Throughout the night they were fantastic and played a varied mixture of music that ensured the dance floor was full all night. No song was too challenging as our countless guest requests were always met, which pleased the crowd and created an unbelievable atmosphere. Since our wedding so many guests have been in touch to say how good the band was; from their song choices to the interaction with the crowd. On another note, as over half our guests came from out with Scotland, Splendid Gentleman had a real challenge of playing a Ceilidh set. However, the guys were amazing and took time to explain all the dances and delivered a great Ceilidh. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all guests and we can't wait to see the video of this. We would absolutely recommend Splendid Gentleman to anyone and we would definitely book again. They really were Splendid. ;)

Splendid Gentlemen played for our wedding in Inverness on the 12th September and they were fantastic. I was slightly worried as it was quite a small wedding in a fairly big room, though it might feel empty, but Dee and the guys played such a fantastic range of songs that everyone was up dancing at some point. They were really friendly and happy to take requests. All our guests thought they were brilliant and we'll definitely be going to see them when they play in Glasgow again. It's always a chance when you book a band you've not heard play before, but it's definitely a chance worth taking on these guys. Highly recommended.

Dee and the gang were our fantastic wedding band. They fitted our style perfectly, and owned the massive theatre stage we had them on. The only complaint we had from our guests was our selfie lovers were enjoying the band so much they forgot to take pictures!

Finally getting round to doing our review! I cannot recommend Splendid Gentleman enough - they were amazing at our wedding at the Cruin back at the end of March. Music is so important to my husband and I as we go to loads of gigs and festivals so really wanted a band for our wedding that didn't play your standard wedding music. They were recommended to us by someone at our venue and we listened to them on the way home from our viewing and knew they were the band for us. Communication was brilliant which was really useful as we actually live in Gloucestershire but I made everyone go back to my hometown for the wedding. Everyone on the night commented on how good the music was and you guys coped amazingly considering the very random requests you kept getting! Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day a success - don't suppose you fancy a trip down to Gloucester to play at my 40th next year? x

The perfect wedding band. Being music lovers, finding the right band for our reception was a hugely important part of our wedding planning and from the first time we heard The Splendid Gentlemen, we knew we were on to a winner. From day one Dee's communication was fantastic and left us in no doubt that we'd entrusted a huge part of our wedding day to the right band. We went to see the band numerous times in different venues around Glasgow and always came away delighted with the choice we had made. We can honestly say that rather than having any nerves about an empty dancefloor, we couldn't wait for the band to get started. When they did, their hugely diverse repertoire kept the dancefloor filled and they even threw in a short, but very popular, ceilidh set which highlighted the band's range of abilities. Always willing to take requests and with a fantastic ability to read the room, the band's set list received compliment after compliment from our guests and set the tone for a fantastic night. Wow! Splendid Gentlemen played our wedding back in February at the Gailes Hotel. They were absolutely amazing, guests are still raving about them. Nothing was too much trouble for them learning our first dance for the evening and when chatting to Scott during their short break on the evening I realised I had completely forgotten to ask them to do a short ceilidh section and this was done quite happily for me and our guests loved it. Communication was fantastic with Dee and before leaving we had a twenty minute blether too and loads of my guests popped over to compliment them on how bloody good they were. Dee and the boys played at our wedding on the 7th of April at the Fairmont, St Andrews and what a bunch of genuine, talented gentlemen they are. We were recommendd the band from friends and although we never saw the band live before our wedding this was never a worry in our minds. Splendid Gentlemen played at our wedding in March 2018. We weren’t keen on booking a band at first as we didn’t really want to listen to the same sound all night and we struggled to find a band that we could agree on. We saw Splendid Gentlemen at Maggie May’s one night last year and decided to book that night. The variety that they can pull off totally put me at ease - it’s not “same sound” at all. Our dance floor was full all night and we have had so many compliments since - the atmosphere the guys created in the venue was brilliant. I’ve recommended them to anyone who’ll listen and will continue to do so!

No words to describe how phenomenal these guys are. Their down to earth personalities and good banter are reason enough to book them let alone their fantastic ability to get the dancefloor up and going all night long. I stumbled across Splendid Gentlemen and after hearing them at gig I booked them straight away knowing that a delay could mean us missing out. In the lead up to the wedding I was in contact with Dee on a couple of occasions, confirming he knew the venue and 1st dance song, his replies were always prompt and nothing seemed like too much trouble. On the night the guys turned up very prompt, they had a brief chat with my wife and I and then got to work. After our first dance they just played one cracking song after another, every cover was absolutely spot on. The guys play music with passion and are complete opposites to many a wedding bands I have seen who are too busy giving it big fake smiles and cheesy dance moves. Splendid Gentlemen really made our wedding day perfect. Read our crowd really well and kept the dance floor packed the whole night! They rocked on past their scheduled finish time and interacted with the crowd throughout the night, taking requests and playing some less typical songs to keep in line with our theme. I got married on 25th november 2017 at the Torrance hotel east kilbride. Me and my wife chose splendid gentlemen as we had been recommended by a friend. We have had nothing but compliments from those who attended our wedding. Everyone was impressed by the variety of songs played. Vocally the band is pretty spot on and the dance floor was not empty the whole night. The band’s repertoire is very impressive and that shows how serious splendid gentlemen take there music. The Splendid Gentlemen played our wedding on the 28th October and we can't recommend them enough. Splendid Gentlemen are an amazing live band! They played at our wedding in October and ensured our day finished in style. They played a range genres and every song was phenomenal. They had everybody up and dancing all night - including my Mam, who never dances! Particular highlights were their versions of Billie Jean, Johnny Be Good, Laid, Wonderwall, and an amazing rendition of Purple Rain! We would recommend them to absolutely anyone and we can't thank them enough for an unforgettable evening.

I have never ever written a review of anything but feel I need to now. Splendid gentlemen played at my wedding last night. Unbeknownst to them, they were playing in front of a room full of musicians. In attendance were London west end performers, recording studio owners, amateur musicians, a 20yr plus vet from the queens grenadiers guards band and many more. Anyone who knows what it means to play in front of a room of musicians (as I do) will understand what this means.  Everyone and I do mean everyone absolutely loved their set. Their variety and ability stunned everyone. They kept the pace of the evening going and even once they finished playing live, their short DJ set kept the correct genre and everyone remained on the dance floor. All of these guys are genuinely nice guys and will do anything to please their audience.  I, before the day, had wanted to ask to sing and play with them on one song on the drums as a surprise for my wife. Their pace and energy meant that was never an option and I was happy to just pay them and enjoy their set. This is by no means a criticism and more of a complement.  I know my wife wants to see them again soon playing in Maggie May's, but as she is a tone deaf musically inept sort of person, I wouldnt take that as the biggest complenent of this review.  If you're after a bloody good wedding band with the ability to play a variety of rock heavy tunes (emphasis placed here), crowd pleasing cheese and wedding formalities then look no further. We had these guys play our wedding on 16th September. And we really cannot recommend them enough. The dance floor was jumping all night. We were lucky enough to have Splendid Gentlemen as our wedding band on 1st September in Aberdeen and cannot express how incredible they were! They played a fantastic mix of songs which kept the dancefloor buzzing from start to end and nothing was too much trouble for them. So many of our guests have commented on what an amazing band we had, and they truly made our night everything we hoped it would be! Genuinely lovely guys with a fantastic talent for what they do. Cannot recommend enough!

The Splendid Gentlemen played our wedding at the start of the week and they were absolutely fantastic! Splendid Gentlemen played our wedding on 6th July 2017 and no review we could do could truly explain how amazing they were. Prior to the big day, the communication with Dee was fantastic. As we live in Australia, we didn't get the chance to see the guys live and based our decision on the videos on YouTube - although we were never worried about that. From the first dance to the very end the dance floor was full.We also had a few ceilidh dances which the lads were able to explain very well - especially considering it was the first time for half of our guests. During the break the boys were really friendly and happily chatted to everyone. All of our guests gave us glowing compliments about the band and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone else looking for a wedding band!I wish we could afford to fly them over to play at our Australian celebration in a couple of months!

The guys played our wedding on the 1st July and we couldn't of dreamed of a better band! They were absolutely fantastic, the loveliest group of guys ever and nothing was a problem for them. They played our first dance which they learned amazingly and took requests from our guests with no problems at all, even playing a bit of a song the didn't actually know! The guys played at our wedding on the 24th of June. I have nothing but praise and thanks for the band who were fantastic from start to finish. There wasn't a moment of the night where there was space on the dance floor and so many of our friends and family commented how "splendid" they were!!  The choice of music was a triumph from modern to old-faves and it suited everyones tastes.  Our first dance was "Ho Hey" and they did such a great version it was one of the best moments of the whole day for both of us!  Thank you so much to Dee and all the guys!!

The Splendid Gentlemen played a great set at our wedding on the 12th of April. They arrived on time, with a quick and professional set-up. The band is genuinely interested in providing entertainment and this came across in abundance, they’re fantastic musicians and lovely guys, too, keeping in touch with them was very easy. They played the songs we requested with aplomb with lots of people commenting on how good they were (dance floor was never empty!). Splendid Gentlemen played our wedding on 09.08.14 - reading through their other reviews I can relate to every single one. The guys are absolutely fantastic, so down to earth and very accommodating. They made that much of an impression that people still ask us who our wedding band were 2.5 years later! What really made our day was them allowing my Father-in-Law to sing our first dance, a request they had every right to refuse but were so on board with it they sat back and watched him, then congratulated him on his performance!

Hi Sharon, Our wedding has now been and gone!  I just wanted to leave a review of the band - they were amazing! A few months before the wedding, we emailed Dee to see if there was any chance that the band could learn our very obscure first dance song.  To be honest, we weren't really expecting a yes and had some back up songs prepared just in case!  To our surprise, he emailed back saying that him and the guys loved a challenge and they would give it a go.   They played the song for our first dance and it was even better than the original :-)  They were amazing all night long and had everyone up dancing.  I had so many people say to me that they really enjoyed the music.  So thanks guys, we really appreciate that you took the time to learn our song and helped make our wedding day the best day ever!

Booked Splendid Gentlemen for my wedding (Feb 2014). I went to see the band in a pub and right away I could tell these lads could play their instruments. No backing tracks, they are a 3 piece but by far and away one the best bands that I'd looked at for my wedding. I booked them more or less on the spot (without the mrs seeign them) The band turned up very promptly on the day and were really quick to get set up. They happily learned our first dance number (which was more of a leftfield request) and I was super impressed at how tight a band they were (given they only practiced the week before). Dee has a great voice, the drummer was a class act and its rare in this day and age to find a bassist that plays proper bass (muse- hysteria should be played at all weddings as standard!). I saw a few bands in the run up, Splendid Gentlemen were easiliy the freshest band I saw, they had good energy and looked to be enjoying themselves (a lot of other wedding bands just looked stale from doing the same set for x years)- these guys are relatively new on the scene and looked hungry and eager to put on a good set and please the audience They played a great set (they were happy for me pick songs on their setlist), which they tailored to the audience and the dancefloor was full all night. We had an issue with the dress just before the first dance- they were happy to play some hendrix-redhouse until the dress issue was resolved.  I really couldn't fault the lads at all. Easily the bargain of the century. We recently booked Splendid Gentlemen to play at our wedding at Ingliston Country Club, Bishopton. We couldn't be more pleased with how much they appealed to both us and our guests. Their fantastic set list had everyone up dancing all night. So many guests passed comment on how good they were. They are really nice guys, very approachable but more so, very talented musicians. We would definitely recommend them!
