Booking a wedding band in Argyll means thinking about a few things nobody mentions when you're choosing the view, and there isn't a prettier corner of the country to be choosing it in. It does make the entertainment worth sorting early. Roads are long, a few venues sit at the end of a single track or the far side of a ferry, and not every band is set up for a working day that starts at eight in the morning and finishes near midnight. The acts on this page are, and any travel or overnight stay is worked out and included before a price ever reaches you.
Our bands play Ardkinglas House, Rosslea Hall and Balinakill Country House regularly, plus a fair number of the smaller country houses and marquee sites around Cowal, Kintyre and up towards Oban. Coast books over 2,500 weddings and events a year across Scotland, so when you tell us your Argyll venue we can usually say who's played it and how the night ran. If the honest answer is that a different act copes better with a long day somewhere remote, you'll get told that too.
Finish times are the thing to pin down
Argyll venues vary enormously on when the music has to stop. Some rural spots have a hard finish written into the licence, others are relaxed about it, and the difference changes how a band should pace the whole evening. A set built for a midnight finish is a different set from one built for one o'clock, and a good band will ask you about it before you have to ask them.
Several of our acts can add a DJ set through the breaks and after their last song if you want the floor busy right to the end. Worth deciding early, because it shapes the running order and the quote.
Where your money sits until the day
Our commission is charged to the band, not added to your quote, so booking through Coast costs you exactly what booking the act direct would. Every booking is contracted and the paperwork is handled for you. You get direct access to your band once the booking is confirmed. Your balance sits in a ring-fenced client account and only goes to the band once they've confirmed in writing that they're on their way to your venue. You've got fourteen days after your reservation fee to change your mind and get it back in full. And if a band is ever physically unable to perform, we'll put alternatives in front of you, the final say is yours, and your balance comes back in full if you'd rather not go ahead.
Given the distances involved, the ring-fenced account earns its keep here. For a venue three hours from anywhere, that's the difference between a nervous morning and a calm one.
Every act on the site has an instant date and price check, so you'll know in seconds whether they're free on your date and what they'd cost. Their page carries full live video, the current setlist, and reviews written by couples who booked them. Getting a no tonight is worth a great deal more than getting a maybe next Thursday.
