The thing that moves the price of a wedding band in South Lanarkshire, or anywhere else, more than anything else is how many people are in it. A three- or four-piece lands somewhere quite different from a six-piece with a sax, and it's worth knowing that early, because bigger doesn't automatically mean better. A smaller act can absolutely fill a floor, and in a smaller room it often works better than a big line-up squeezed into a corner.
So if the quotes you've been getting elsewhere have felt high, the answer might be a different shape of band rather than a different budget. Run a quote on a couple of sizes and compare the real numbers, which are itemised down to travel and the reservation fee instead of hidden behind a "from" price. Or tell us your budget and we'll do the narrowing down for you.
South Lanarkshire covers a fair spread, from the Clyde valley and the old mill country down through Lanark and out into the hills, and the venues follow the same pattern. Our bands play Cornhill House and the New Lanark Mill Hotel regularly, along with a good number of the South Lanarkshire country house and farm venues in between.
Why the roster is short
Coast looks after around seventy acts, and has deliberately never tried to be the biggest list in the country. Every band on this page has been watched, signed and stood behind by us, and no amount of money gets an act onto the list. It makes for less scrolling than a directory, which is rather the point when you're trying to book a wedding band and not browse a catalogue. We've been doing it since 2009 and handle over 2,500 events a year, so the shortlist has had a lot of nights to prove itself.
Checking who's free
Every act on the site has an instant date and price check, so you'll know in seconds whether they're free on your date and what they'd cost. Their page carries full live video, the current setlist, and reviews written by couples who booked them. Line up three or four and work down the list, which is how most people end up choosing.
Our commission is charged to the band, not added to your quote, so booking through Coast costs you exactly what booking the act direct would. Every booking is contracted and the paperwork is handled for you. You get direct access to your band once the booking is confirmed. Your balance sits in a ring-fenced client account and only goes to the band once they've confirmed in writing that they're on their way to your venue. You've got fourteen days after your reservation fee to change your mind and get it back in full. And if a band is ever physically unable to perform, we'll put alternatives in front of you, the final say is yours, and your balance comes back in full if you'd rather not go ahead.
