I stay in touch with couples as much as they need throughout the planning process, making sure they feel reassured and have everything they need ahead of their big day. Most communication is through email, but I’m also more than happy to arrange a phone or video call, and couples can contact me directly on WhatsApp if that’s easier. As the lead singer, I handle all the communication and planning personally, so you’ll have one main point of contact throughout. I’ll always do my best to get back to any questions as quickly as possible and will be in touch closer to the wedding to go over the final details and make sure everything is in place.

I’ll always send a quick check-in email in the week leading up to your wedding, just to see how everything is coming together and let you know we’re all organised and looking forward to being part of your big day. It’s a chance to touch base, offer any last-minute support and give you that extra bit of reassurance that everything is in hand. If there’s a wedding planner or venue coordinator involved, I’ll also make sure any final timings, access arrangements and setup details are confirmed with them. I want you to feel confident that we’re ready to go, leaving you free to enjoy every moment of your day!

Booking a live band should be an exciting part of your planning, not something that feels stressful or daunting. Once you’ve found a band whose music and personality feel right for you, we’re here to guide you through the process, answer any questions and help you feel confident about what to expect. We’ve got plenty of experience performing at weddings, and we want you to feel relaxed knowing that we’ll take care of the entertainment side of things so you can focus on enjoying your special day!

I always ask couples to let me know their first dance choice as soon as they can, as it gives us plenty of time to get everything prepared. As a band, we’ll arrange a dedicated rehearsal to learn and perfect your chosen song, making sure we’re all comfortable with the arrangement and can deliver it beautifully on the day. We know how special and emotional this moment is, and we want you to feel confident that your first dance is in safe hands. Some songs may take a little longer to arrange than others, so having plenty of notice is always helpful. If you’re struggling to choose a song or have any questions about whether a particular track would work well for the band, I’m always happy to help!

I always share our standard setlist with couples so they can get a feel for the music we play, along with examples of songs we’ve been performing recently. Our setlist is a guide rather than a strict running order, as we read the room on the night and adapt to the crowd to keep the dance floor busy! Before the evening gets underway, I’ll check in with the couple and the venue coordinator or whoever is running the day to make sure we’re all on the same page. I’ll confirm how the couple would like to be introduced, whether that’s by their names or as the new Mr and Mrs, and whether they’d like to cut the cake before moving into their first dance. I’ll also ask how much of their first dance they’d like to share privately before inviting their guests onto the floor, so we can follow their wishes rather than make assumptions. Once everyone is ready, I’ll make the announcement, guide the moment naturally and get the celebrations started by encouraging guests to join the dance floor at the right time. My aim is to make those first moments feel special, personal and completely stress-free for the couple.

As a six-piece live band, we bring quite a bit of equipment, so it’s helpful to know the venue’s access arrangements in advance, including the best place to load in and out, any access restrictions, and whether we can park nearby while setting up. We’ll also check the available performance space, power supply and whether the venue has a sound limiter, as this helps us prepare properly for the evening. If there’s a sound limiter in place, we’ll be mindful of our levels throughout the night. I’ll make sure the necessary details are covered with the venue beforehand, including our arrival time and parking requirements, so everything runs as smoothly as possible on the day.

If there’s a wedding planner involved, they’ll usually get in touch with me a few weeks before the wedding to go over the running order and make sure everything is in place from our side. We’ll confirm our arrival and setup times, check any venue requirements and make sure all the details we have are correct. I’ll also exchange contact numbers with the planner so we can easily get in touch with each other on the day if anything needs clarified or plans change. I handle this communication personally as the band’s lead singer, working alongside the planner and venue team to help everything run smoothly and keep the evening on track.

We understand how important it is to have complete peace of mind when booking your wedding entertainment, so we always have contingency plans in place should a band member become unwell or be unable to perform. We have experienced dep musicians and singers who are familiar with our setlist and have worked with the band before, so they can step in when needed. If anything unexpected happens, I’ll take care of arranging a suitable replacement and making sure everything is in place for your big day. Your wedding is just as important to us as it is to you, and we’ll always do everything we can to ensure the music and celebrations go ahead as planned.

We typically arrive around an hour before our performance is due to start, giving us plenty of time to load in our equipment and get everything set up. As soon as the performance space is ready, we’ll bring in our gear and get everything organised as efficiently and quietly as possible. Once set up, we’ll carry out a soundcheck, testing the instruments, microphones and overall sound to make sure everything is ready for the evening. We’ll then get changed, tidy away any cases and equipment we don’t need, and make sure our setup area is neat and organised before the guests arrive. This means we’re ready to go at the agreed start time, allowing the evening to run smoothly from the very beginning!

We would typically aim to arrive around an hour before our scheduled start time, so for an 8pm performance, we’d normally arrive at around 7pm. I’ll always check the venue location and access arrangements in advance, and we plan our travel to allow plenty of extra time for traffic or any unexpected delays. If the venue has restricted access, a more complicated load-in or additional setup requirements, we’ll arrange to arrive earlier. I’ll make sure all band members know the timings beforehand so we’re fully prepared, set up and ready to go at the agreed start time.

We’re experienced in working with venues that have noise limiters and sound restrictions, so it’s something we’re very familiar with. We’ll always check the venue’s requirements beforehand and make sure the whole band is aware of any sound limits in place. Throughout the evening, we keep an eye on our levels and adjust where needed to ensure we stay within the venue’s guidelines while still delivering a great live sound. Our aim is to keep the energy high and the dance floor busy, so couples can feel confident that their guests will still have a brilliant night without having to worry about the technical side of things!

We always make sure we look smart, polished and well-presented on stage, as we know how much the overall look and feel of a wedding matters. As a band, we take pride in our appearance and want to complement the style and atmosphere of your day. Our aim is to look the part, bring the right energy to your celebration and help create a brilliant experience for you and your guests.

We’re a high-energy band, and our aim is to keep the dance floor busy and the atmosphere buzzing throughout the evening. We play a real mix of genres, from upbeat dancefloor fillers and big sing-alongs to songs that bring everyone together, adapting the energy as the night progresses. If you’re having a ceilidh, we can follow it with a slower song to give everyone a chance to grab a drink and catch their breath, while our band break would usually fit around the evening buffet being served. We always plan our breaks around the running order and aim to come back ready to get the party going again. Ultimately, we want your guests singing, dancing and making memories right through to the end of the night!

We’re always happy to hear song requests from guests on the night! Requests will usually come through me as the lead singer, and if I’m in the middle of a song or performing, I’ll acknowledge the guest and come back to them as soon as I can. If it’s a song we know and it works for our six-piece band, we’ll do our best to fit it into the set. If it’s not one we know, I’ll let them know politely and, where possible, suggest something with a similar vibe. We always want guests to feel involved and have a great time, while making sure the music flows well and keeps the dance floor going.

I’m very involved with the crowd throughout the evening and love creating a fun, lively atmosphere! I’m confident on the microphone and bring a bubbly, friendly energy to the night, chatting with guests between songs, encouraging everyone onto the dance floor and keeping the excitement going. I’ll always read the room, knowing when to have a bit of fun and interact with the crowd while letting the music do the talking when that’s what the moment calls for. I’m also more than happy to make announcements on behalf of the couple, whether that’s introducing the newlyweds, inviting guests onto the dance floor or sharing any special messages. My aim is to make everyone feel welcome, involved and ready to have a brilliant night!

We know that weddings don’t always run exactly to plan, and being able to adapt quickly and professionally is a big part of what we do. Earlier this year, we arrived, set up and completed our soundcheck with everything working perfectly, but just as we were due to start, we discovered that an earlier entertainment act had triggered the venue’s sound limiter, leaving us without sound. I immediately spoke to the venue team, and we worked together to get everything sorted as quickly as possible, keeping things light-hearted and making sure the issue didn’t create unnecessary stress. Whether it’s a technical issue or a meal running late, we’ll always communicate with the venue, adapt to any changes and do everything we can to keep the evening running smoothly so you can relax and enjoy your celebration.

Every wedding is different, but we always aim to get the dance floor busy from the moment we start playing! Around 8.30pm, you might see some guests dancing away while others are still catching up with family and friends, grabbing a drink and warming up to the evening. By 10pm, the atmosphere often really starts building, with more guests joining in, singing along to the big favourites and getting into the party spirit. By 11.30pm, you’ll hopefully see a packed dance floor, guests singing their hearts out and everyone making the most of the celebrations! We know some guests love to dance all night while others dip in and out, so we mix up the music and read the room to keep as many people involved as possible throughout the evening.

We always check in with the couple beforehand to see how they’d like to finish their evening, but we typically close with Auld Lang Syne followed by Loch Lomond for that classic Scottish wedding send-off. We bring everyone together in a big circle for Auld Lang Syne, with the newlyweds in the middle, creating a fun, memorable moment for everyone to be part of before building the energy into Loch Lomond. It’s a brilliant way to bring everyone together and finish the night on a high! If you have something different in mind for your finale, we’re always happy to discuss it and make the ending personal to you.

Our ceilidh is performed completely live by the band, with me as the lead singer calling the dances and helping everyone learn the steps. I’ll often head out onto the dance floor to demonstrate the moves and get people involved, while another band member helps call the dances over the microphone. Once everyone gets the hang of it, we’ll keep guiding guests until they feel confident enough to let loose and enjoy themselves! One of the best things about having a live ceilidh is that we’re not tied to backing tracks, so we can adapt the length to suit your evening, whether you’d prefer a short ceilidh or a longer session. It’s always great fun, brings guests of all ages together and is often a real highlight of the night, even for those who’ve never tried a ceilidh before!

The transition from our live band to the DJ set is designed to be as seamless as possible, keeping the energy going and the dance floor busy! Once we finish our final live song, I’ll stay on as the lead singer and move straight into the DJ set, so there’s no awkward gap in the music. While the DJ set is playing, the rest of the band will quietly pack away their equipment in the background, allowing the party to continue without disruption. It’s a great way to keep the celebrations going, maintain the atmosphere and make sure your guests can keep dancing right through the evening!

For us, a great night is seeing a packed dance floor, guests singing their hearts out and everyone genuinely enjoying themselves throughout the evening. It’s always lovely when guests come up to us afterwards to tell us how much they’ve enjoyed the band, and seeing all the smiles and excitement on the dance floor makes it even more rewarding. I always try to catch up with the couple before we leave, too, just to check they’ve had the best night and that everything has been as they hoped. Knowing we’ve helped create such a special atmosphere and played a part in making their wedding memorable is what makes it all worthwhile!

I think one of the loveliest things about having a live band is the personal touch it brings to your wedding, sometimes in ways you might not have even thought about beforehand. From learning your first dance to seeing your favourite songs bring everyone together on the dance floor, live music creates moments that feel really special and personal to you. There’s nothing better than seeing different generations singing, dancing and celebrating together, and being able to adapt the music to suit the crowd and keep everyone involved. For me, it’s about more than just playing songs. It’s about being part of your celebration and helping create those little moments and memories that make your wedding truly yours.

One of my favourite memories has to be from a recent wedding where the bride discovered that our sax player also brings a flute along to certain songs. She mentioned that she used to play the flute herself and asked if she could have a go. When we were planning the start of our second set, we decided to let her open with the iconic intro to Man! I Feel Like a Woman! and it turned into such a brilliant moment. Everyone gathered around her with their phones out, cheering her on, and she absolutely stole the show! It was one of those completely unexpected moments that nobody could have planned, and it’s a perfect example of what makes live music so special. You never quite know what might happen, and sometimes those spontaneous moments become the memories everyone talks about long after the wedding is over.
