How much time do you need for setup and soundcheck?
We typically take one hour to set up our full PA system with lights and sound check.
What are your standard performance times?
Our times are flexible, but typically will range from anything between 8pm - 12am.
How flexible can you be if our timings aren't confirmed yet?
Absolutely! We can adjust to whatever you need. Just let us know in advance if possible, many of our packages include flexible timings.
How long is your break, and do you play background music during it?
Our break is typically anything up to 30 minutes. Some events like to use this time to serve food in the middle of the ceilidh.
Can we pick the songs you'll play on the night?
You can always request specific dances for the ceilidh.
Will you learn our first dance if you don't already know it?
As a ceilidh band we don't have a singer. So if you want an instrumental version, we will be happy to try and accommodate. Otherwise we are happy to play your song through our PA.
Can you take requests on the night?
We are happy to take requests for ceilidh dances.
Can you keep the night going if our venue has a 1am licence?
We are happy to continue past midnight if required. Please chat with us for more information.
What other add-on options do you offer?
You can increase the band to a 4 piece by adding our fantastic keyboard player to your booking.
Is all the equipment, like PA and lighting, included in your quote?
Yes, we include our professional digital PA system and our lighting equipment in our quote. All professionally PAT tested.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Our clients have said that they appreciate our flexibility, professionalism, and our ease of communication. As a band, we are modern, lively and toe-tapping, and always engage with any crowd.
Which artists are you most influenced by?
We love to listen to a range of music, and keep our repertoire wide, with music from pop hits, classical favourites, and traditional sets. We take inspiration from the likes of Talisk, Trail West, Rura, Gnoss.
Can you provide a ceilidh set, how long does it last, and can you call the dances for our guests?
Most of our gigs include a ceilidh! We can provide a short ceilidh (around 45 minutes) to a long ceilidh (around 4 hours) and anything in-between. Our band consists of any mixture of Fiddle, Guitar/percussion, and Bass, with an occasional appearance of pipes. We always call dances so that even the least experienced dancers are able to enjoy the evening.
