FAQs

How much time do you need for set up & sound check?

We'll need up to 45 minutes for set up & sound check. We aim to arrive at your venue an hour before we're due to begin, which gives us plenty of time to get in and ready.

As soon as we're ready, we'll begin playing background music to your guests before beginning our set.

What are your standard performance times?

Our standard set, like most, is from 8pm to 12am.

I'm not sure what my timings are going to be yet, is there any flexibility on the standard timings?

Yes, of course. Some venues will have slightly different schedules to the norm, so we'll show up ready to go whenever you need us.

Likewise, we can be flexible on how long we perform for on the night. It's not uncommon to work alongside a DJ, or other performer over the course of the night. We're happy to fit into your plans.

How long do you take for your break? Are you able to play background music during this time?

We take 30 minutes for our break, dependent on how the schedule of the night is running. We'll always have background music playing throughout, including any time before we begin.

You can have as much input into the break playlist as you like. We'll also try to fit any unfulfilled requests into the break, so that everyone's able to get their tune played, even if we can't manage it ourselves!

Can I pick the songs that you'll play on the night?

Yes, absolutely. I'd say this is a big selling point of ours. We don't subscribe to the idea of a "standard wedding set". Our motto is that we're "Your Band. Your Way".

We work with every single booking to make sure your wedding set is perfect for you and your guests. We send out a pre-wedding checklist to capture important details like your first, last and any other formal dances - then a list of top requests from our extensive repertoire (400+ songs!) - any vetoes - and any additional info on family/friend favourites, themes, or anything else you can think of to help us sculpt the ideal night for you.

Will you learn our first dance if it's a song that you don't already know?

Yes, of course.

This is providing we can find a suitable track to accompany the song and we think that it's suitable for us to perform. We would be honest and advise if we think it's unsuitable. I'm sure you don't want us to murder a Mariah Carey soprano belt any more than we do!

Can you take any requests on the night?

Definitely! In 2023 we launched our Live Request Hub on our website so now it's easier than ever for your guests to request their favourites from us, avoiding having to catch our attention away from the mic mid-song.

As we're setting up, we'll scatter small cards around the tables and set up a banner with a QR code that goes straight to our Live Request Hub on our website. There you'll find our repertoire and a simple request form that once submitted, immediately pings through to our iPads live on stage.

My venue has a 1am license, do you offer an extension to keep the night going until then?

Yes, we'll work to whatever schedule you have on the night.

Typically speaking, we'd play our standard 8-12 set, then DJ for the last hour. We can be flexible around our timings, though, and split up our performance into three live sets to cover the entire evening.

Do you offer any other add-on options?

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. All equipment is included, and everything subject to PAT testing and covered by Public Liability Insurance.

What do you think your clients love most about your performances?

There's a few things that frequently get mentioned in our feedback and reviews.

Our musicality and vision for the songs we perform. We understand we're a bit different from the "normal wedding band", so we're proud to lean into that. We perform songs that everyone will know and enjoy, but love to find our own way of doing it - whether that’s with vocal arrangements and harmonies, the odd bit of choreography, or incorporating some crowd work into the performance.

Clients also notice how much we enjoy ourselves. We're three mates doing what we love together and that shows in our performances. We love to put on a show for our clients and feed off the energy in the room together.

Another of our mottos is "If you fill the room; we'll fill the dancefloor". I've mentioned how much attention we pay to your setlist and we'll be tinkering away at it all night, between requests and "they loved that, let's do this next". Your guests will feel like our set was hand-selected by you for them!

Which artists are you most influenced by?

Without trying to sound too cliché, our inspiration and musical taste is so varied.

Great frontmen throughout time like Frank Sinatra, Freddie Mercury, Liam Gallagher - they all absolutely own the stage and you know you're getting a performance. There's an hefty list of artists and bands who make their show special. What's the point in being a musician if you can't put on a proper live show!

We also love artists who put their own spin on recognisable music. There's some great artists like Postmodern Jukebox, Scary Pockets etc - who create these incredible covers of well known songs.

Can you provide a ceilidh set? If so, could you give us more info about this - how long does it last, what instruments do you play, can you call the dances for our guests?

We can offer up to 30 minutes of a ceilidh set. If you were to ask, we'd normally recommend 2-3 songs is enough of a flavour if you're of the mind of giving your guests a flavour of some traditional dancing.

We have a playlist of recorded ceilidh music and will happily volunteer ourselves to demonstrate and call the dances.
