How much time do you need for set up & sound check?
I can get fully set up in 30 minutes assuming there's straightforward access at the venue, I may need a little longer if there's lifts/stairs etc.
What are your standard performance times?
I usually perform 7pm - 12pm as standard.
I'm not sure what my timings are going to be yet, is there any flexibility on the standard timings?
Yes I'll always be be flexible with times, within reason!
How long do you take for your break? Are you able to play background music during this time?
I take a 30min break and can definitely put on background music for you during this time.
Can I pick the songs that you'll play on the night?
Yes of course, you can either send me a playlist or I can structure a bespoke playlist especially for you party based on genre/likes/dislikes.
Will you learn our first dance if it's a song that you don't already know?
As a DJ I don't think you'd like to hear my try and sing your first dance for you haha, but I'll be more than happy to play the original version for you!
Can you take any requests on the night?
Yes definitely, requests are totally fine! I will have Spotify at hand via Bluetooth so any of your guests are welcome to come up and give me requests at the DJ booth.
My venue has a 1am license, do you offer an extension to keep the night going until then?
Yes I'm more than happy to keep things going until 1am for you. Just ask for pricing!
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes all of my equipment is included in the quote.
What do you think your clients love most about your performances?
My performances are always aimed at giving my clients the best experience possible. Of course it depends on type of event, but when appropriate I always try get involved with the crowd whether it be judging the music or interacting with guests.
Which artists are you most influenced by?
My tastes are really varied! I've loved music my whole life, mainly dance music which is what made me pursue it as a job and not just a hobby! Some favourites are Paul Van Dyke and Robert Miles. I also love 70s and 80s, The Proclaimers, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder - too many to name really!
Can you provide a ceilidh set? If so, could you give us more info about this - how long does it last, what instruments do you play, can you call the dances for our guests?
I'm happy to put on a ceilidh track for you and will announce the dances for you.
