How much time do you need for set up & sound check?
Ideally about 1 hour maximum. This allows me to get in and have everything set up and sound checked properly, to ensure your evening will be sounding its best.
What are your standard performance times?
Standard performance times are usually 8pm-12am, although this can be flexible to suit your needs.
I'm not sure what my timings are going to be yet, is there any flexibility on the standard timings?
Yes of course, everything is flexible - just get in touch!
How long do you take for your break? Are you able to play background music during this time?
Usually 30mins which allows your guests to rest their feet and grab something from the buffet, if you're having one.
During this time I’m happy to play a playlist of your choosing or one of my own so there is still music to listen to while your guests are enjoying the buffet.
Can I pick the songs that you'll play on the night?
Yes, I’m more than happy to sit down with you both and discuss my set list. My goal is to make your night the most enjoyable experience for you and your guests and I will be more than happy to tailor my set to suit your needs.
Will you learn our first dance if it's a song that you don't already know?
Certainly! More than happy to... All I ask is for 4 weeks notice if possible, so that I have the time to learn your song and do it justice.
Can you take any requests on the night?
Absolutely, I love requests and from previous experience meeting the guests expectations always makes the night a success.
My venue has a 1am license, do you offer an extension to keep the night going until then?
Yes, I can play a DJ set until 1am and I’m more than happy to take requests during this time also.
Do you offer any other add-on options?
I can also play some acoustic material for your ceremony. Tailoring this personally to yourselves.
This creates a great mood and gets everyone buzzing for the main event and I am more than happy to play the bride down the isle and throughout should that be what you wish.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes, my equipment is top of the range and can cater for every type of venue. Everything is included in my fee.
What do you think your clients love most about your performances?
My energy and enthusiasm during my performance. My mission is to ensure every person in the room enjoys their night and I bring a performance that’s not only professional, but also personal and engaging! It’s not uncommon for me to be in the dance floor with the guests, whilst playing my guitar!
I enjoy the performance just as much as the guests do!
Which artists are you most influenced by?
I love every type of music! I’m a massive pop/rock fan , but also love Country and Motown ….. as well as some old school rock and 80’s power rock.
I play absolutely everything but if someone came up and asked me for Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams, I would definitely be in my element!
Can you provide a ceilidh set? If so, could you give us more info about this - how long does it last, what instruments do you play, can you call the dances for our guests?
I provide about 20 mins of Ceilidh. It’s played with backing tracks and I would call the dances . This allows the guests to get their ” Scottish” on.
I stick with the main dances so that most people can remember them from their days of high school dances!
